Kamala Bay, from every level

Villa Chanjar is a private residence set high on the hillside of Andara Resort & Villas, looking straight out over Kamala Bay on Phuket's west coast.

Three levels of contemporary Thai-style timber architecture step down the slope around an 18-metre infinity pool. There is room for 12 guests to spread out: a cinema, a games lounge with its own bar, a spa room and a quiet study, all joined by a private elevator. A chef and villa team look after the rest, and the resort's fitness centre, tennis court, kids club and restaurant are a short distance away.

How many guests can stay at Villa Chanjar?

Villa Chanjar sleeps up to 12 guests in 6 ensuite bedrooms. For smaller groups, a 4-bedroom option is available for up to 8 guests. Guests aged 12 and over are counted as adults.

What is included in a stay?

Every stay includes a private chef, villa manager, housekeeping and service staff, concierge, daily breakfast preparation, in-villa dining service and a one-way airport transfer for guests on the same flight, access to the Andara Resort facilities (fitness centre, tennis court, kids club, restaurant and bar) and a shuttle service to Kamala Beach. Food and drinks purchased for guests are charged at cost plus a 20% handling fee, paid to the staff in cash.

Can guests use the Andara Resort facilities?

Yes. Villa Chanjar sits within Andara Resort & Villas, and guests have access to the resort fitness centre, tennis court, kids club, restaurant and bar. Access is included; the tennis court and kids club are reserved in advance through your villa manager.

How far is Villa Chanjar from Kamala Beach?

Kamala Beach is approximately 2 minutes away by villa shuttle, or about a 5-minute walk. Contact our team for shuttle arrangements and operating hours.

How far is Villa Chanjar from the other beaches and the airport?

Surin Beach is about 10 minutes by car, Patong about 15 minutes, Phuket International Airport about 40 minutes and Phuket Town about 45 minutes.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is by 12:00 PM. Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability.

How do I book and what deposits apply?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is due within 2 days of booking and the balance 30 days before arrival. A USD 2,000 security deposit is payable on arrival or by bank transfer and is usually returned on the departure date.

Can we host a celebration at the villa?

Private dinners and small celebrations can be arranged by the villa team. Events with more than 15 guests need prior written consent from the villa owner.

How much does Villa Chanjar cost per night?

For the full 6-bedroom villa, public rates run from USD 2,100 per night in low season to USD 5,500 per night over Christmas and New Year, with minimum stays of 3 to 10 nights. Rates are subject to 7% VAT and 10% service charge. The 4-bedroom option is quoted on request.

Terms & conditions

Before you book

Arrival & departure

Check-in from 2:00 PM, check-out by 12:00 noon, unless agreed otherwise. Early arrival and late departure depend on availability.

Security deposit

A refundable USD 2,000 security deposit is payable on arrival or by bank transfer. It covers any damage or breakages to the property or its contents during the rental period and is usually returned on the departure date.

Payment

A 50% payment is required to secure the villa, with the balance due 30 days before arrival. Full payment details are provided with your rental agreement.

Cancellation

31 days or more before arrival: the 50% non-refundable deposit is forfeited. Within 30 days: the full rental amount is forfeited.

Registered guests

Only the number of persons stated in the rental agreement may stay at the property as guests.

Groceries & drinks

All groceries, food and beverage items purchased on behalf of guests are charged at purchase cost plus a 20% handling fee, payable to the villa team in cash.

Staff hours

Staff hours are daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. After-hours charges may apply.

Smoking

Being a family home, Villa Chanjar has a no-smoking policy indoors. Guests are welcome to smoke outdoors, and our staff will supply ashtrays for outdoor use at any time. A THB 20,000 ozone-treatment fee is charged if guests smoke inside the villa.

Linen & towels

Linen and towels are provided at the villa and are normally changed every 3 to 4 days, or as needed.

Complaints

The lessor cannot be held liable for interruptions to the water, electricity or internet supply, or a breakdown of the swimming pool filtration system, but will make every effort to have any such problems solved quickly.

Force majeure

The lessor is not responsible for any delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by events outside the lessor's control, such as civil disturbances, fires, floods, severe weather or acts of God.

Conduct & behaviour

Guests are expected to behave correctly and appropriately while staying at the villa. If any member of the party behaves in a manner considered inappropriate, the lessor or the local representative may, at their absolute discretion, ask the guest or guests concerned to leave the villa immediately, and no refund can be claimed. The owner or his representative may enter the villa at any time. Unlawful activity of any kind is prohibited.

Due care, supervision & indemnity

The lessee accepts responsibility and liability for the safety and wellbeing of all guests and third parties staying at the villa during the rental. The lessee and their guests must take due care during their stay and be especially watchful of children playing in the gardens, near or in the pool or jacuzzi. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
